Q: What size are MiniYou figurines?
A: The size varies slightly depending on which body is chosen but the average height is about 5 to 6 inches.
Q: What are MiniYou figurines made from?
A: All MiniYou figure heads are made from CLAY and we don’t use any dyes or colors, so there is no chance of color loss in the future and the figure's body are made from a polyresin composite. This means the figurines are reasonably strong but we recommend you handle them the same way you would with any ornament.
Q: What type of photograph is required?
A: One clear front facing and one side view head and shoulders photograph would be ideal. If this is not possible and your MiniYou is a surprise gift then send us the best photograph you have of the subject and then we will do the rest.
- Please see the picture requirements below for a perfect set of your lovely figurine. We understand sometimes it is difficult to take perfect pictures. Don't worry, send us the best you have and we will work with that.
- DO: two photos showing clear facial features of the front and side view
- DO: Photos should be taken at 90 degree face level
- DO: Should be at least 1MB resolution.
- DON'T: Photo taken too close without seeing the shoulder or photo taken too far which cannot see the face outline.
- DON'T: Blur photos
- DON'T: Photos taken at an angle from above or below face level.
- We will provide you with a prototype within three days ( usually within two days or less).
- Once the prototype is approved, it will take four to five days to make the clay figurine (they require baking).
- We will send you an email when it is shipped with tracking information. We can also ship express mail for $25 extra. Please be specific and request express service when you checkout.
- To reduce shipping damage, all figurines will be individually wrapped and some assembling may be required. We will provide glues with all required holes are pre-drilled. Simply glue the figurine into pre-drilled holes and let it sit for 5 mins. Although extra care is given for packaging, sometimes damages can occur during shipping, email us at info@miniyougift.com within 12 hrs of delivery with the picture of the damaged items. We will gladly make another one for free. Please do not discard the damaged items until we tell you, otherwise we reserve the right not to honor the replacements.
Q: How good will the likeness be of MiniYou?
A: The figurines are fun caricatures and not exact sculptures which means you will get about a 70-80% likeness of the person in the photograph. We will send you an email of your MiniYou head for approval before the figure goes into the ovens. If you need to make any adjustments to the likeness then this is the time to make them once the figure is approved the process can not be changed. See some examples of our work here.
Q: How do I pay?
A: All online orders are paid using Paypal, which means all major debit and credit cards are accepted and all details are completely secure.
Q: Will the figurines arrived in one whole set?
A: In order to reduce the chance of damage during transit, the figurines are all individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Glue will be provided for you to glue the figurines in pre-made holes. It is very easy to glue them together, but feel free to email me if you have any questions. We also guarantee all products to arrive in perfect condition.
Q: How long does the process take?
A: Once you have ordered your MiniYou it takes approximately two weeks to arrive at your door. There is an express delivery option available that brings the delivery down to less than 7 days for $25 more. If you have any further queries regarding our figurines, please contact us via email.
